Ernst Harth Stefan Arngrim Crazy Howard Little Christian TessierThe A-Team are an elite military quartet with a reputation for concocting daring and elaborate plans that get the job done. After being set up by another group who are even more covert than they are, the team go on the run to prove their innocence.

In this new film the A-Team characters from the original s television series have been updated from Vietnam veterans to Iraq war veterans but they are still essentially the same group of guys. Like the original television series the action is still completely over-the-top with plenty of outlandish scenes that defy the laws of physics and gravity. At first this delirious approach to the action works well and the film delivers plenty of inventive and exciting action sequences even though none of them are remotely believable.

However, the action does become increasingly laboured and while the technique of intercutting between the characters making the plans and the characters executing the plans is initially fun, it eventually becomes overly repetitive. The dumb fun on offer in the disposable action of The A-Team does hold the promise of it being an enjoyable boys-own adventure film, but it is badly let down by so many other aspects. There are a number of points where the film attempts sincerity, including a completely misguided romantic subplot, and all those moments are awkward and ill judged.

The relentless chauvinism of having almost every female character, including Jessica Biel as Captain Carissa Sosa, referred to as hot is also tedious. The A-Team overstays its welcome and misses the mark on too many occasions for it to fulfil its initial promise of consistent entertainment.

Within its bloated running time is probably about one hours worth of great material, which would have worked wonderfully on television. Read more reviews at MRQE. Have you ever seen the series? If so, how can you possibly expect realistic action out of a movie that was born from that series? Realism is not the intention here.

This is supposed to be cheesy entertainment. Please learn to set your expectations based on the material you are watching. Jim — You may want to read over my review again. This review is simply dumb! I just hope it has a fairly reasonable plot to keep me entertained and the cheesyness fresh.Check out the movies and shows we're excited about this month, including " Star Trek: Discovery " and After We Collided.

But after doing it, they discover that the spook might not be ok. And a military intelligence officer who was involved with one of them is pursuing them. Written by rcs yahoo. I had a distinct feeling of aprehension before watching this movie, being a fan of the original 80's show, so of course, I would go into this movie with a biased opinion.

The list is endless However, I must say, this is pretty good in my honest opinion, it feels like a good rebuking of a classic series, and it has been fully loaded with CGI and ham acting, to say the least. If you watch this movie, try to distance yourself from the preconceptions of other remakes that have been botched in the past and try to watch it for what it is and I guarantee you will enjoy it more.

The characters are decent, and it's a pleasure to see Sharlto Copley having his full on debut in this movie and for me he pulls it off rather well He's no Dwight Shultz, but who would be? Liam Neeson is solid as ever, the man could botch his lines and fart on camera and I'd still find him entertaining, he's become a character now and when you want Liam Neeson, that is what you get, Liam Neeson. As for Bradley Cooper, well, he lives us to his Characters name, he could have easily played the character Murdoch as much as Sharlto could probably have played Face.

But either way, he still fills the role with some certain degree of charm and smarm. The only weak link, unfortunately, is B. A and I wouldn't put it all down to the actor neither. I don't know whether they have done a "Batman Begins" thing here, but B. A in this is He is the show's tragic hero and we are supposed to feel a certain degree of sympathy towards him in this movie, but it falls short I'm sorry, but I cringed every time I saw him on screen, and also I winced out how his lines where delivered at times, he mumbles a lot Overall, this movie is entertaining and is a good "Pizza-Booze" movie with your mates, it has a little misdirection in it, but nothing to really bake your noodle Looking for some great streaming picks?

Keep track of everything you watch; tell your friends. The A-Team is a American action thriller film [4] based on the s television series of the same name created by Frank Lupo and Stephen J.

The film tells the story of a Special Forces team who, imprisoned for a crime they did not commit, escapes and sets out to clear their names.

The film had been in development since the mids having gone through a number of writers and story ideas and being put on hold a number of times. Hannibal escapes and sets out to rescue his friend Templeton "Face" Peckwho is held captive at Tuco's ranch. Hannibal saves Face after enlisting his teammate RangerB. They flee in a medical helicopter, chased by Tuco, in a dogfight that leaves BA with a phobia of flying.

The battle ends when they lure Tuco's helicopter into American airspace, where it is shot down by an F Raptor for trespassing, killing Tuco and his men. Charissa Sosa, tries to discourage the team against getting the plates. The mission is successful, but when the team returns to base, both the money and Morrison's vehicle are destroyed by soldier Brock Pike and his men from the private security firm Black Forest.

Without Morrison the only proof that they were authorized to actHannibal, Face, Murdock, and BA are court-martialledsentenced to ten years in separate prisons, and dishonorably discharged. Because the plates were her responsibility, Sosa also ended up court-martialled and is demoted to lieutenant. Six months later, Lynch visits Hannibal in prison and tells him that Pike may be trying to sell the plates with the help of an Arab backer. Hannibal, who has been tracking Pike on his own, makes a deal with Lynch: full reinstatement and clean records for his team in return for the plates.

The team hijacks a Cwhich is later destroyed by Reaper UCAVsbut not before the team parachutes away in a tank stashed aboard and make it to the ground safely. The team moves to reclaim the plates and are able to kidnap Pike's backer.

It is revealed that the backer is actually General Morrison in disguise since he plotted with Lynch and Pike to steal the plates but teamed up with Pike to double-cross Lynch and fake his death. Lynch orders an airstrike to kill the team and Morrison, but the team manages to escape whilst Morrison is left to die in the explosion. Hannibal arranges to meet Sosa on board a container ship at the Los Angeles Port, saying he will hand over "Morrison" and the plates.

Face then calls Sosa on a drop phone he planted on her at a train station earlier, and conspires a different plan with her. It all unfolds according to plan until Pike, who is now working with Lynch, blows up the container ship with a bazooka and chases Face to near death. BA having converted to Buddhism while in prison finally gives up his pacifist ways and confronts Pike before breaking his neck and spinal cord, killing him and saving Face's life.

Hannibal leads Lynch into a container with Murdock, who, wearing a covered bullet-proof helmet filled with ketchup, is portraying Morrison. Lynch shoots at Murdock's head, believing that he killed Morrison, and is later tricked into admitting that he stole the plates, but is subsequently caught and arrested by Sosa for his crimes.

The CIA agents led by a separate "Lynch" comes and claims custody of the original one.

Despite their success and proving themselves innocent, the military still arrests the team for escaping from prison, also a crime; they and Sosa are angered by this, since it is only being done so Sosa's boss does not have to fill out paperwork. Sosa's boss even tries to cover their tracks because of their screw up. Sosa is reinstated to captain, but she promises to do all she can to set the team free and kisses Face as everybody is led into a prison van.

In the van, the team starts saying that the system has burned them again, but Hannibal tells them that there is always a way out of any situation, and turns towards Face, who smiles and says "I don't want to steal your line, boss, but I love it when a plan comes together" and opens his mouth, revealing a handcuff key given to him by Sosa through the kiss.

The final scene includes a narration spoken by Corey Burton similar to the show's opening narration. The part of Charissa is played in the film by Jessica Biel. Captain Charissa Sosa is a D. Agent investigating the whereabouts of the A-Team, in charge of finding U. Treasury plates that can be used to counterfeit money, and former girlfriend of Face.

Inwhile the A-Team members are at a military base in Iraq, run by General Russell "Russ" Morrisonabout a week after troops are withdrawn from Iraq, she arrives by helicopter and sees Face for the first time since their break-up, 3 years ago. Sosa tells Face to stay out of Baghdad and not go after the U.

Treasury plates that can be used to counterfeit money because it is her responsibility to find them and they would be violating a direct D. She also threatens to court-martial. Sosa later sees Lynch leaving General Morrison's tent. While the A-Team members plan their mission to retrieve the plates, Sosa sees some people in a tent disguised as the A-Team. After the A-Team return to the base with the plates, General Morrison dies in an explosion and Brock Pike, who works for Black Forest, steals the plates.

Sosa apprehends the A-Team and during the court-martial, Director McCready demotes her to the rank of first Lieutenant because she lost the plates. Six months later, after Hannibal escaped, and shortly before Face escaped from prison, Director McCready informs Sosa that Hannibal escaped and she decides to go after them.

She thinks that the A-Team is working with Pike and she can get the plates back. She then questions Gilbert, the crematorium attendant at the Army Confinement Facility in Fort Carson, Colorado, where Hannibal escaped, but does not get anywhere. Later on, Sosa figures out from her assistant, Ravech, that Hannibal used Tetrodoxin, the near-death drug, to escape.

She also figures out that Pike is in Frankfurt, Germany. After Hannibal and Face rescue B. While Murdock and the other patients watch a 3-D movie entitled The Greater EscapeSosa questions Murdock about Hannibal and Face, but he pretends he doesn't understand.

Shortly afterwards, Hannibal, B. The A-Team members steal an Army plane with a tank on it.

The A-Team

Ravech, with Sosa as a passenger, drives onto the runway and has to go in reverse so the plane doesn't crush them. Sosa later tells soldiers who are controlling Reaper drones not to shoot the plane down. Later on, at the U.

Lynch's secretary tells him that Sosa wants to talk to him. Sosa asks Lynch if he visited Hannibal in prison and he denies it. Shortly afterwards, Lynch taps into Sosa's phone lines. At Frankfurt Central Station, Face handcuffs Sosa to a photo booth in order to protect her from Lynch and keep her from interfering.

He tells her that they're innocent and that the truth is worth the risk. Face eventually escapes. She questions him and he tells her that he works alone, but she thought he was working with Hannibal. Lynch releases Pike from her custody. Hannibal calls Sosa and tells her that Morrison is still alive so that Lynch will believe it.

Morrison faked his own death in Iraq, but died during an air strike launched by Lynch after the A-Team found out that he betrayed them. The A-Team is the feature film adaptation of the TV series.

The film's cast includes Jessica Biel and Patrick Wilson. There is a slight continuity error in the beginning: The P that Tuco's henchman tries to kill Hannibal with has 6 front slide serrations. The one Hannibal uses after that also for the rest of the film has only three. This means that one of the Ps used on-set was older than the other.

A corrupt police officer working for General Tuco Yul Vasquez brandishes a Colt Anaconda revolver in the film's prologue.

Various U. Sosa's DCIS team. Agent Kyle pulls a Beretta on Pike Brian Bloom in Frankfurt, Germany, but hits the mag release button, dropping the magazine on the floor.

Kyle then clumsily tries to affix what he calls a "European silencer" Pike corrects him by saying it's a suppressor onto the Beretta, even at one point sticking the gun barrel up between his knees. Pike disarms the agent and hands the gun to the other agent sitting on his right side, as the first one doesn't know much about weapon handling. Pike Brian Bloom also has a Beretta 92FS in a tactical vest at the shootout in the harbor in the climax.

It seems that B. Lynch Patrick Wilson also carries a P throughout the film, and is seen pulling it on Pike in the car in Frankfurt. In addition to his Glock 17, he carries a Walther P99 in a cross-draw holster during the Baghdad mission. Captain H. A guard in the prologue is seen with a Franchi PA3 shotgun. A Remington is used by a U. Army M. Bosco "B. There is also a Remington slug gun with synthetic furniture and an extended tube magazine seen in the hands of one of General Tuco's men.

S Army soldiers both use MP5A3 submachine guns during the film's finale. It is hard to see due to being a black gun held in front of a black trench coat. An IMI Uzi is seen carried by a guard outside the bank. The classic Ruger Mini with a factory folding stock in stainless steel is used by Col.

Full Cast & Crew

S Army soldiers in Iraq are seen with M16A2 rifles. S Army honor guard is shown firing M1 Garand rifles at a funeral. Note that the weapon's stock has been removed and replaced with a sling. This was probably done so that Pike could hide the rifle under his jacket. Later, a CIA agent uses an M2 with a large scope during the finale. Browning M2 machine guns mocked up to resemble the DShK heavy machine gun are mounted on vehicles escorting a valuable cargo in Baghdad. A M is seen carried by a "Black Forest" contractor early in the movie.

Note that since this film was shot in and around Vancouver, this could also be just a Daewoo K3 mocked up as a M Bosco 'B.
